A Shavette is in many ways reminiscent of a traditional Straight Razor. Instead of a fixed blade, however, a Shavette has a replaceable blade that simply needs to be replaced when needed. This means you won't have to maintain the blade with leather strop and pastes.
A Shavette uses the classic double edge blades, which are split in the middle before being inserted into the Shavette. You can also choose to buy Half Blades which are already split from the manufacturer to fit perfectly in the razor.
