It all began when the three cousins Herminio Alvarez Gómez, Belarmino Gómez, and Emilio Vuelta Gómez decided to give up their homes and occupations in search of their fortune in Madrid. They founded the company Alvarez Gómez in 1899 and have since then made great products for the style-conscious man.
In 1912, the cousins discovered a recipe for a cologne with the main ingredients of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, and geranium - pure, fresh, and exquisite. They refined the recipe and started the production of what we know as the Agua de Colonia Concentrada. In addition to the cologne, the product assortment includes Shaving Cream, Shaving Foam, Aftershave, Body Lotion, Shower Gel, and Hair Shampoo, all made from the most exquisite ingredients.
100 years after the introduction of the popular cologne, Alvarez Gómez expanded with a new series: Barberia. This series includes exquisite products for perfect shaving as well as personal care.
