A Straight razor is the absolutely classic model of shaving, which many return to in the hunt for the best and closest shave.
A Straight Razor has a fixed blade with one insert. Simply run the knife over the stubble a few times to achieve a close and smooth shave. Many people experience far fewer irritations when using a sharp Straight Razor. It takes a little practice to use a razor, but once you learn it, you will never return to a multi-blade razor.
The blade on a Straight Razor can not be replaced, but instead requires a little work and care. It is important that you clean the knife after each shave and that you sharpen it with a leather strap and sanding paste when it penetrates. This way you avoid the blade becoming dull.
