It all began when three cousins, Herminio Alvarez Gómez, Belarmino Gómez and Emilio Vuelta Gómez, decided to leave their home and familiar surroundings to seek their fortune in Madrid. They founded the Alvarez Gómez company in 1899 and have been making delicious products for the style-conscious man ever since.

In 1912, the cousins found a recipe for a cologne with the main ingredients lemon, bergamot, rosemary and geranium - pure, fresh and delicious. They refined the recipe and started production of what we know as Agua de Colonia Concentrada. In addition to the cologne, the product range includes shaving cream, shaving foam, aftershave, body lotion, shower gel and hair shampoo, all made from the most delicious ingredients.

100 years after the introduction of the popular cologne, Alvarez Gómez expanded with a new range: Barberia. The range contains great products for a perfect shave and personal care.
