Mario Lorenzin started as an apprentice barber at the age of 11, and two years later he trained as a hairdresser in Treviso, Italy. Mario Lorenzin started losing his hair very soon after that, which made him skeptical of modern, synthetic hair care products.

Like many other barbers, he had heard rumors that a traditional formula based on the local radicchio plant would keep hair healthy and nourished. Lorenzin spent 7 years researching the formula, reading ancient books and visiting laboratories. Luckily, his efforts paid off, as he ended up with a radicchio-based hair treatment that achieved great results for the hair and scalp. The radicchio plant is known to strengthen and nourish the hair, increase hair growth and minimize and prevent scalp irritations, itching and the like.

He later developed a range of other hair care products for both women and men, including shampoo, hair wax and hair oil and a body wash for the body. In 2014, the range was expanded with a line of beard care products made from radicchio lettuce and all-natural oils.
