The company was founded in 1906 by Mr. Drop and Mr. Voos in the German city of Solingen. They only produced straight razors of the highest quality. When the two founders retired shortly before World War II, Fritz Bracht took over the company. He changed Dovo's focus and started making scissors instead of scrapers. From 1952, Dovo acquired more companies and the company grew. In 1996, Merkur became part of Dovo, but it wasn't until 2013 that Dovo returned to its original DNA as a company whose main production was shaving equipment and razor blades.

Dovo manufactures shavettes, badger brushes, scissors and straight razors of the highest quality. You'll also find exclusive manicure sets that are easy to carry in your toiletry bag or laptop bag, so you can always find your nail clippers or nail scissors.
