Werner Pils founded the company as a one-man business in Stuttgart in 1980. He started designing and manufacturing high-quality shaving accessories when none of the products on the market at the time met his requirements. Thanks to his many years of experience as sales director for a leading cosmetics group, he had solid market knowledge. His handmade shaving equipment quickly gained great popularity, and to this day Pils products are ranked among the best in the world. In 2003, Werner Pils retired and his successor, Micha Birkhofer, took over the company and continues the prosperous business.

Pil's products are sold exclusively to specialist shops and webshops, which emphasize professional advice and have a sense of what exceptional quality is.

Pils is a company that cares a lot about the environment and environmental resources. Pils avoids unnecessarily long transport routes, reuses transport packaging several times and uses packaging made from recycled materials. Pils receives electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources and pays attention to sustainability when choosing its partners.
