This base plate is the one used for the closed comb Masamune Nodachi Razor.

The closed base plate is the most popular. It is made with small grooves in the base plate, which secures the skin with a minimum of leaf exposure.

The base plate is made of dark stainless steel - but is also available in a matt stainless steel variant.
