This closed comb base plate is the classic and most sought-after solution for the Masamune razor from Tatara Razors. The combination of a blade gap of 0.63 mm and a negative blade exposure of -0.13 mm means you get a gentle and efficient shave that minimizes the risk of skin irritation.

The integrated grooves in the base plate efficiently guide the shaving foam away from the blade, ensuring optimal contact between Shaver and skin without exposing the skin unnecessarily. The result is a smooth, close and comfortable shave - suitable for both beginners and experienced shavers.

The base plate is made of dark AISI 303 stainless steel, which is both durable and visually exclusive. For a lighter style, the same plate is also available in a matte version.
