Skin Roller & Gua Sha

If you're on social media, you've probably come across words like Gua Sha massage, Gua Sha stone, Skin roller and Face roller. These are Chinese beauty tools and treatment methods that are more than 2000 years old, but have recently gained huge recognition and cult status in the rest of the world.

With a Skin Roller or Gua Sha, you can easily perform a very nice and super effective facial massage in your own bathroom. The tools can be used daily whether you have 2 minutes or longer to pamper yourself and your skin. A facial roller and a Gua Sha have many benefits and can, among other things, help to: renew the skin's glow, improve blood circulation, regain skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, reduce pores, remove impurities, improve skin suppleness, remove dark circles and bags under the eyes, provide a more even skin surface, release toxins in the skin, give a healthy appearance, remove tension and allow the skin to better absorb the following product.

The principle behind the technique is that you repeatedly 'scrape'/roll the Gua Sha stone or skin roller across the face. There aren't really any rules other than you have to do what feels good. It's important that you apply an oil to the area you want to treat so you don't damage the skin. After you've rolled the skin, you can finish with a cream, but it's not a must.
