Either you can choose to buy the classic DE razor blades and break them in half before inserting them into the razor blade holder. Or you can choose to buy the so-called Half Baldes, which are already ready to use when you buy them.

A Shavette has a cutting surface similar to the cutting surface of a straight razor. However, the advantage of the shavette is that you don't have to maintain the blade with a leather strap and paste, but simply replace it when it needs it. And you can safely replace the blade in time, because they cost almost nothing to use. So you get a smooth and comfortable shave at a very low cost.
