Floris London was founded in 1730 by Juan Famenias Floris and his wife Elizabeth. They began selling perfumes, combs and shaving products in the elegant part of London's St James. They opened their first Floris shop at 89 Jermyn Street, which is still the heart of the business. Floris is the world's oldest independent family-owned perfumery and is still run by the descendants of Juan and Elizabeth.

The list of celebrities who have sworn by Floris over the years is long and includes Princess Diana, Ian Flemming, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill and Sharon Stone. Floris is also the appointed supplier to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.
