The shaver comes with three reversible base plates:

Plate A: setting 1 (very mild) and 3 (mild) - ideal for sensitive skin and daily shaving.
Plate B: setting 2 (mild/medium) and 4 (medium) - for normal skin and beard type.
Plate C: setting 5 (medium/aggressive) and 6 (aggressive) - for coarse beards and longer stubble.
