The blade has a core of extremely hard SG2 powder steel, encased in 100 layers of steel with two different hardness levels. This advanced layer construction provides exceptional sharpness, wear resistance and flexibility. The special CRYODUR® treatment, where the blade is ice-hardened at -196°C, raises the hardness to approximately 63 Rockwell - ensuring long-lasting performance.
The beautiful damask pattern on the blade is created through a unique surface treatment that not only adds to the visual expression but also emphasizes the exclusivity of the craft. Each knife has its own unique pattern, making it a functional piece of art in the kitchen.
The ergonomic handle is made of Micarta - a robust, multilayer material made of canvas and resin. It is both moisture repellent and dimensionally stable, and combined with the weight of the knife, it gives a sense of control, comfort and safety in the hand. Stainless steel rivets and a decorative logo complete the aesthetic and functional design.
