A shaving brush is essential in a classic old-school shave, to direct the mind towards a luxury shave in a real barbershop.

As long as you treat your shaving brush correctly and hang it to dry on a Holder after use, you can enjoy it for many years.

You will find shaving brushes with bristles in many different types, each with its own advantages. If you want to see if a classic wet shave is something for you, it is fine to start with a shaving brush with artificial or natural hair. If you want to sacrifice a little more, we highly recommend a shaving brush with real badger hair. You can choose between Silvetip Badger, which is natural badger hair of the highest quality, and Silvertip Fiber®, which are high-tech synthetic fibers of first-class quality. Pure Badger is the most common type of badger hair with a slightly harder brush than the rest. Finest Badger is a cross between Silvertip and Pure Badger. Black Fibre are 100% vegan quality hair in a beautiful dark colour, while a natural hair brush has the same stiffness as an artificial brush.

- Silvertip Badger:
Is natural badger hair of the highest quality. The bristles are the most expensive and the best from the badger. A shaving brush like this is very soft.

- Silvertip Fiber®:
Are high-tech synthetic fibers in premium quality. Silvertip Fibre® is an innovative solution which ensures that the badger can keep its beautiful hair in peace. The shaving brush dries faster than natural hair.

- Finest Badger
Finest Badger are some lovely soft brushes that lie between Pure Badger and Silvertip. The brush is light and has good suction.

- Pure Badger
Pure Badger is the most common type of badger hair and thus also the cheapest. The natural badger hairs are very flexible. They are not nearly as soft as Silvertip Badger or Silvertip Fibre®, but instead have a massaging effect on the skin, which makes stubble ready for the subsequent shave.

- Black Fibre
Is 100% vegan quality hair. The dark color and softness make the synthetic fibers look like natural hair, and they also contain just as good properties.

- Natural hair
The so-called Boar brushes are made from pig (boar) hair. Boar brushes typically have the same stiffness as an artificial brush, but as the hairs have a better absorption capacity and can contain more water, boar gives a better lather of the soap or shaving cream.

Note: All brushes in natural hair will smell a little like "wet badger" the first few times you use them - This is completely natural and this smell diminishes and disappears already after a few times of use. If you want to speed up the process yourself, you can rinse the brush through in warm water and then dry it carefully with a hairdryer.

What is a shaving brush?
It is a brush/broom you use in a shave, to get lathered shaving cream or foam around the face before shaving. It is good for working it into the skin and softening the beard before shaving.

How to use a shaving brush?
You soften the brush in warm water for a few minutes, then pour some shaving soap/foam over it. Squeeze the water out, and now you use it to lather up the soap. When that's done, apply the soap to your face with the shaving brush - where you need to shave.

How long does a shaving brush last?
When you have invested in a good shaving brush with good quality bristles, they can easily last for 10 years. After use, wash it and hang it to dry, and in this simple way you can extend its lifespan.
