Collection: Horsehair Shaving Brush

Horsehair shaving brushes are still relatively difficult to find on the market compared to badger hair shaving brushes. Horse hair shaving brushes are not as coarse as boar shaving brushes, which are made from pig hair. Horse bristles can hold as much water as super badger and silvertip bristles, giving you a great shaving lather.

The hair is cut from the horse's mane or tail. The animal has not died or been harmed by the 'operation', so these shaving brushes are very animal-friendly.

Another advantage of a horsehair shaving brush is that they are very cheap considering their performance and quality. Note that the brush may have a slightly funny "wet horse" smell the first few times you use it. However, this will disappear as you shave.
