Pure Badger is usually dark in color, but can range from light grayish to almost completely black - possibly with a silver tinge. The Pure Badger brush is slightly stiffer than Best Badger, Super Badger or Silvertip Badger, as the hair shaft is slightly thicker.

So if the price of your shaving brush is important, we would definitely recommend a pure badger brush. It's the most common type of badger hair - and also the cheapest, as it's the most available on the market. So you get a great shaving brush at an affordable price.

Note: All natural hair brushes will smell a bit like "wet badger" the first few times you use them - this is completely natural and the smell will subside and disappear after just a few uses. If you want to speed up the process, you can rinse the brush in warm water and then dry it gently with a hairdryer.
