How to make a delicious Shaving Foam out of your Shaving Cream!

Not sure how to lather a Shaving Cream into a whipped Shaving Foam? Then watch this! Below, we've created a step-by-step guide that will show you the way to the perfect Shaving Foam that will make your shave a wonderful experience.

It takes a little patience the first time you decide to replace the canned Shaving Foam with a Shaving Cream. But once you get the hang of it, you're sure to love making your own glistening Shaving Foam.

1. Soften the Shaving Brush

Place the Shaving Brush in warm water to soften the hairs and retain the right amount of water.

You can leave it to soak for a few minutes.

2. Get your Shaving Brush ready

Pick up the brush and give it a gentle squeeze to release most of the water.

Then shake the brush gently to get the last of the water out. The brush should just be damp - not wet.

3. Prepare the bowl

Pour the hot water out of the bowl.

4. Add the Shaving Cream

Add the right amount of Shaving Cream to the bowl. An amount the size of an almond is usually enough.

If your bowl is well warmed by the water, it gives you a nice warm Shaving Foam.

5. Whip up the foam

Work the Shaving Brush around the bowl with circular and light pumping movements. You'll quickly see the cream begin to transform into a rich, airy lather.

6. Adjust the consistency

Add a little water at a time until the foam becomes smooth, dense and creamy.

The finished foam should be so rich that it sticks to the sides of the bowl when you pass the broom over them. Large bubbles or very fluffy foam means that too much water has been added.

7. Collect the foam

Pick up the finished foam with the Shaving Brush.

Test if the consistency is correct:

You can test the consistency of your Shaving Foam by applying it to your hand in an even layer. When you squeeze your hand and open it again, the Shaving Foam should still be opaque and creamy.

It's a good idea to hang your Shaving Brush on a holder so that any excess water can drain away. This ensures that the Shaving Brush will last for many years to come.
