We often get a lot of questions about how to best take care of your shaving gear when you're on the go. Do you just put your Razors and Shaving Brush in your Wash Bag? Should it dry first? Should you remove the Razor Blade before taking the Razor with you? The questions can be many - but we've tried to make it easier for you. Below we've gathered the equipment you need if you need to bring your shaving gear in your gym bag for training, on a weekend trip or on vacation.

Razor storage
When it comes to storing your Razor, the easiest thing to do is to get a Razor cover that protects it and the blade optimally. That way, you can place the Razor in the cover without having to remove the Razor Blade first.
That way you won't damage your Wash Bag, risk cutting yourself or dull the Razor Blade as if the Razor had been left loose with an open blade.
There are several different options when it comes to choosing a cover. Ultimately, it also depends on which Razor you want to transport, as well as material and price considerations.

Blade protector for your Razor
A blade protector pulls down over the Razor's head and protects the blade from being touched. This means you don't have to take the Razor Blades out of the Razor when you need to take it with you.
You can also use a blade protector on your Razor when it's just sitting in the bathroom if you're worried about your children touching it, for example.
Mühle has made a very popular plastic version for the Safety Razor, Fusion Razor, Mach3 and Companion Razor. And Rockwell has also made a leather blade protector.

Shaving Brush storage
The most important thing when traveling with your Shaving Brush is to remember to take it out of your bag and let it air dry if it's damp. A day's travel is no problem at all, but don't leave a wet Shaving Brush in your Wash Bag for days on end.
Make sure the brush is not pressed too hard or the hairs broken when you transport your Shaving Brush. We have produced a protective tube that provides optimal conditions for your brush when you're on the go.

Travel Sizes Shaving Brush
You can also choose to buy a travel brush and leave your regular Shaving Brush at home when you're away from home.
A travel brush is made specifically for travel use. Typically, the brush head can be removed and turned around so the handle protects the brush.
Travel brushes come in several different weight classes, price levels and brush classifications.

Leather bag from Mühle
For the ultimate solution, take a look at Mühle's leather bag in either large or small version.
In the small version, you have room for your Razor, your Shaving Brush and a single product such as Shaving Cream in a tube or a Shave Stick.
The large bag has room for several Razors and Shaving Brushes and of course your products, so you can get the perfect shave while you're on the go.
