The 7 steps of the perfect skincare routine
Below we explain the 7 steps and why they are important for your skin's well-being. There are links to the products mentioned throughout the website, so you can find exactly the product you need!
Facial Cleanser
Your Facial Cleanser is the most important part of your skincare routine as it is the secret to beautiful, well-groomed skin. Use a Facial Cleanser both morning and evening.
During the day, you touch your face several times with your fingers, you spend time in pollution, in dusty indoor environments, you sweat, excrete waste and maybe wear makeup. It's important that all of this is washed off in the evening so that dirt and grime doesn't clog your pores and cause impurities.
Cleansing is just as important in the morning to remove the waste products your skin secretes at night. It's much easier to apply makeup on cleansed skin and your skin can better absorb the day cream's nourishing ingredients.
You can use your Facial Cleanser when you're in the shower.

Face Scrub
A Face Scrub contains small, exfoliating grains that exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells. It helps keep your skin oil-free and also unclogs pores. A Face Scrub forces your cells to renew themselves faster and makes your skin absorb your creams more easily.
Massage lightly into the face and neck, but avoid the eye area.
We recommend using your scrub 1-2 times a week depending on your skin type. However, if you have dry skin, you should be careful about using an exfoliator.

Skintonic
After using your cleanser, it's a good idea to apply a skin toner.
A skin toner removes the last dirt and makeup residue and also minimizes visible pores.
It prepares the skin for subsequent moisturizing, so you get the most out of your day cream, night cream or face oil.

Serum
A face serum isn't a must, but it's for those who really want to pamper their skin. A serum is a kind of concentrate that you apply under your day cream and night cream. Serums are more fluid than regular creams - and the active molecules therefore penetrate the skin longer.
The active ingredients of the serum vary depending on the purpose. You'll find serums that are firming, cell renewing, soothing, sebum regulating, antibacterial and mattifying.
Serums are typically more expensive than your regular creams because they are so concentrated. However, the benefit of using a serum is that you don't need to use nearly as much of your subsequent moisturizer.

Face cream (moisturizer, day cream & night cream)
A face cream is essential in the quest for beautiful, well-groomed skin. The skin on your face is exposed to harmful elements such as pollution, sun, dirt and grime on a daily basis, so it's important that your cream protects, nourishes and moisturizes.
You have two options when it comes to choosing creams: either choose a moisturizer that can be used both day and night, or buy both a day cream and a night cream.
If you're looking for a 24-hour cream, it's a bad idea to choose one with SPF, as the sun filters can irritate your skin at night. Instead, choose a version that provides plenty of moisture and care.
However, if you want both a day and night cream, we recommend that you buy a day cream with SPF to provide your skin with optimal protection against the sun's dangerous UVA and UVB rays. Your skin behaves differently at night than during the day as it rebuilds itself at night. It's this process that your night cream helps with.
Whichever model you choose, apply the cream to clean and cleansed skin.

Eye Cream
Eye Cream isn't a must, but it's worth investing in one if you suffer from dark circles, bags, fine lines and wrinkles. The skin around the eyes is thin and delicate and needs extra care.
It's a good idea to buy an Eye Cream that combats eye fatigue, refreshes the eye area, gives the skin a more even texture and minimizes signs of aging.
Always dab Eye Cream on with your fingertips. The skin around the eyes does not benefit from too much pressure and massaging.

Face Mask
A good Face Mask can do wonders for your skin. We recommend using a mask 1-2 times a week as needed or as a spa treatment if your skin needs extra care and nourishment.
You can buy Face Masks for all skin types and you'll find moisturizing, soothing, deep cleansing and firming versions.
Apply the mask to the face and neck, but avoid the sensitive areas around the eyes and lips. Finish by applying a good moisturizer.
