The preshaven enters and lifts the beard stumps from the face so that the razor does not cut into the skin itself, but instead grabs the stubble. It softens the beard and provides a protective layer to prepare the skin for the razor. Slightly sliding across the skin reduces the risk of irritation and beard plague, giving you a closer and much more comfortable shave.

Use as follows: Take some of your favorite Preshave in the palms and massage it into the beard. Feel free to rub against the beard as this "lifts" the beard and prepares it further for the shave.
